Release 26.1.0 - February 25, 2026

New SIM for Things Portal Interface

We are excited to introduce a completely redesigned SIM for Things portal interface. The new portal delivers a modern look and feel, improved navigation, and faster performance — while keeping all the features and functionality you rely on. We will switch to the new portal after the release.

Both portals will run side by side

To ensure a smooth transition, the current portal and the new portal will run side by side for a period of two months. During this time, you can use either version and switch between them at any time. This gives you the opportunity to explore the new interface at your own pace before it fully replaces the current portal.

  • No action is required on your part. All your data, configurations, and settings are shared between both portals. Any changes you make in one portal are immediately reflected in the other.

  • All new features and developments will be released exclusively on the new portal. The current portal will remain available during the transition period but will not receive any new functionality.

The new portal is currently in an early access phase. While it has been thoroughly tested, you may occasionally encounter minor issues. If you do, we encourage you to report them via a support ticket — your feedback helps us to improve the experience for everyone.

All existing features and functionalities remain fully available in the new portal. If you need help finding your way around the new interface, visit our new help center at https://help.sft.bics.com

What’s new in the portal

Modern user interface

The portal has been rebuilt with a fresh, modern design. All pages across the portal now share a consistent layout and visual style, making it easier and more intuitive to use.

Improved navigation and menu structure

The menu has been reorganized to group related pages together, reducing the number of clicks needed to reach key features. Whether you manage endpoints, plans, coverage, or billing — everything is easier to find.

New dashboard

The dashboard has been redesigned to give you a clearer overview of your account activity, including endpoint status, usage, and events, all in one place.

Faster page loading

Pages now load faster, especially when working with large datasets. We have optimized how data is retrieved and rendered, resulting in a noticeably smoother experience across the portal.

Redesigned create and modify screens

All overlay screens used to create or modify entities (such as endpoints, plans, and rate zones) have been aligned to a consistent design, available in small, medium, and large formats depending on the complexity of the action.

Consistent design across all user levels

A comprehensive review was conducted across all user levels (BICS, Reseller, Enterprise) to ensure a uniform experience. Layouts, components, and UI elements are now aligned across the entire portal.

API integrations

No changes to APIs

This release focuses exclusively on the portal frontend. There are no changes to the SIM for Things APIs. All existing API integrations will continue to work as before.

Enhancements

SGP.32 testing — update

We continue to make progress on our SGP.32 implementation. Since the initial standalone setup introduced in Release 4.20, SGP.32 is now partially integrated into the SIM for Things platform. This brings us a step closer to the fully integrated experience planned for upcoming release.

Customer testing has also expanded, with a broader range of use cases now being validated in the field. This GSMA specification is designed specifically for IoT eSIM remote provisioning on constrained devices, offering reduced bandwidth requirements and more efficient profile management compared to SGP.02.

SGP.32 remains available as a beta feature. Full integration into SIM for Things is planned for upcoming release. We encourage you to continue exploring SGP.32 and share your feedback to help shape future developments.
