Create service profiles

Create Service Profile

A Service Profile is a profile where you define the services and functionality you want an account to have

  • Service Profile Name: Enter a name identify it later

  • Category: Select Base.
    Later you can create AddOn Plan with special AddOn Service Profile and assign it to the account. It allows you to give an extra service packet over the base plan. But a Base Plan is mandatory.

  • Status: Select Active

  • Service: Select ‘DATA’, ‘NB-IoT', 'SMS-MO’ and ‘SMS-MT’ from the drop-down list. You can select one or few services

  • Access Type: ‘2G/3G/4G/5G’ or you can limit access type for the account by selecting ‘2G’, ‘2G/3G’ or ‘2G/3G/4G’


1. On the top menu, click Services to view the Service details. Refer to the following screen.

2. On the Services screen, click Add Service Profile to create a new Service profile. Refer to the following screen.

3. After clicking the button, the Add Service Profile screen is displayed.

4. Enter or select the following information in the corresponding fields.

Field

Description

Service Profile Name

Enter the name for the service profile.

Category

Select the service profile category in the drop-down list. For example, Base or Add-on.

  • Base – Base plans are the default plans attached during provisioning. An endpoint can subscribe to only one Base plan

  • Add-on – Add-ons are additional plans, an endpoint can avail in addition to the base plan. An endpoint can subscribe to multiple Add-on plans.

Status

Select the status of the service profile in the drop-down list. For example, Active or In-active.
Note: In-active service profiles cannot be attached to the rate plan.

Service

Select the service for this service profile in the drop-down list. For example, DATA, NB-IOT,NB-IOT,MO-SMS, and MT-SMS.

  • MO SMS – Mobile Originating SMS service

  • MT SMS – Mobile Terminating SMS service

  • DATA – Internet service – Internet service

  • NB-IOT – Internet service
    Note: If required, Multiple Service can be selected for a Service Profile

Access Type

Select the access type of the Service Profile in the drop-down list. For example, 2G, 2G/3G, 2G/3G/4G, 2G/3G/4G/5G.

  • If selecting only NB-IOT service from the drop down, access type field should be disabled with NBIOT RAT type as shown below.

  • If selecting multiple services, then access type field should be enabled with drop downs and we can select the access type as shown below.

5. Click Submit. A confirmation message is displayed indicating that the service profile is created successfully.

If you click Submit, without entering the Service profile details in the mandatory fields, the following notification is displayed on the Add Service Profile screen.
