[OEM] Create inventory plan

4.6.5 Create OEM Inventory Plan – Postpaid and Prepaid

  1. On the top menu, click Plan to view the Rate Plan details. Refer to the following screen.

Note: By default, the Postpaid Plan screen is displayed.
Note: To create an OEM Inventory plan for prepaid connection, click the Prepaid tab, and follow the subsequent steps.

  1. Click

to add a new postpaid plan. Refer to the following screen.

  1. After clicking the button, the following screen is displayed.

Note: By default, the Plan type is selected as Base.

  1. Select the Plan type as

Inventory. Refer to the following screen.

  1. Enter or select the following information in the corresponding fields. Fields marked with "

|" are mandatory.

Description

Basic Information

Plan Type

Inventory Plan - Inventory plans are the OEM plans attached during provisioning. An endpoint can have only one Inventory plan.

Plan Name

Enter a name for the Plan

Status

Select the plan status in the drop-down list. For example, Active or In-Active.
Note: You cannot attach In-Active plans to customers.

Description

Enter the brief description of the plan.

Currency

Select the currency for the OEM Test plan

  1. Click

Next.
The ADVANCE details screen is displayed.

  1. Click on Add Rule to add. Refer to the following screen.

10. On click of add rule button following screen appears.

11. Enter or select the following information in the corresponding fields. Fields marked "|'are mandatory.

State Transition Rule has two values in the dropdown.

  • Validity - OEM endpoints state transition and change of plan from Inventory to base plan happens based on the validity specified.

  • Usage under Base Plan Coverage – OEM endpoint state transition happens when a charging request initiates from an operational (Base plan) coverage.

Based on the state transition rule selection following fields appears.

Validity
When you select state transition rule as "Validity", the following details are displayed

Description

Fixed period after activation

There will be two sub – fields for fixed period after activation

  • First field need to enter numeric values – which represents the number of validities – Enter the required numeric values

  • Next field represents the frequency – Day, Month, Year – Select the required frequency

Usage under Base Plan Coverage
Select usage under base plan coverage as state transition rule and click on add.

12. After clicking add button following screen appears.

13. After adding State Transition Rules, the following details are displayed on the screen.

Field

Description

State Transition Rule

Indicates the state transition rules added.

  • Validity

  • Usage

Condition

Indicates the condition of each state transition rule

  • Validity – Number of days or months or year validity

  • Operational Usage – N/A

Next State

This field will be automatically populated based on the rule creation.
Indicates the next state for each rule.

  • Validity – Active

  • Operational Usage – Active

to edit the Validity, Usage under base plan coverage details.

to delete the Validity, Usage under base plan coverage rules.

14. Click Submit.
A confirmation message is displayed, indicating that the OEM Test plan is created successfully.

15. In the OEM Inventory Plan without adding state transition rule if submit button is clicked, we get a warning message. Refer to the following screen.

  • If no state transition rules configured in the Inventory plan, then endpoint state change must be performed manually.
