Charges

1. After adding the Notifications, click Charges to add charges to the rate plan. Refer to the following screen.

3. After clicking the button, the following screen is displayed.

4. Enter or select the following information in the corresponding fields.

Field

Description

When you select "One Time" as Mode, the following details are displayed

Mode

Select the charge mode form the drop-down list.

  • One time – A One-time charge is collected only once
    Note: Both Recurring and One time charges are applied at the time of attaching the plan

Category

Select the charge category in the drop-down list.

  • Setup Fee – Integration - A one-time fee collected when you attach a plan

  • Setup Fee – Branded Portal - A one-time fee collected when you attach a plan

  • SIM Activation – A one-time fee collected at the time of SIM Activation (Not applicable if you re-activate the SIM).

  • Setup-Fee VPN - A one-time fee is collected at the time of VPN configuration

  • SIM card order – A one-time fee is collected for new SIM card order

  • Setup-Fee APN - A one-time fee is collected at the time of APN configuration

Charge name

Depending on the category selected, the charge name varies.

  • SFT – Setup Fee – When you select "Setup Fee – Integration" as Category, this charge name is displayed.

  • Addon Onetime – When you select "One-off Fee" as Category, this charge name is displayed.

  • SFT - Setup Fee – Branded Portal - When you select "Setup Fee – Branded Portal" as Category, this charge name is displayed.

  • SFT – SIM activation - When you select "SIM Activation" as Category, this charge name is displayed.
    Note: Not applicable if you re-activate the SIM.

  • SFT – Setup Fee – VPN – When you select "Setup-Fee VPN" as Category, this charge name is displayed.

  • SFT – SIM card order - When you select "SIM card order" as Category, this charge name is displayed.

  • SFT – Setup Fee – APN - When you select "Setup-Fee APN" as Category, this charge name is displayed. A one-time fee is collected at the time of APN configuration

Value

Enter the fixed amount that will be charged

Action type

By default, this field is not displayed. This field is displayed when you select "SIM activation" as Category.
Select when the SIM activation fee is to be collected from the customer. For example,

  • Immediate – SIM activation fee is collected immediately at the time of provisioning

  • First usage – SIM activation fee is collected after the first usage of SIM.

When you select "Recurring" as Mode, the following details are displayed

Mode

Select the Charge mode form the drop-down list.

  • Recurring – A Recurring charge is collected on a periodic basis

Category

Select the charge category form the drop-down.

  • Monthly Recurring Charges – Indicates the monthly recurring charge for the SIM

  • SIM Management – Indicates the charges for SIM management activities. A monthly recurring fee is collected based on the SIM status

  • Monthly Minimum fee – Indicates the charges for the monthly commitment fee.

  • Feature based SIM management – Indicates the charges for the feature based SIM management fee.

Charge name

Depending on the category selected, the charge name varies

  • SFT – Monthly Recurring Charge – When you select "Monthly Recurring Charge" as Category, this charge name is displayed. Indicates the monthly recurring charge for the SFT customers

  • SFT – SIM Management – When you select "SIM Management" as Category, this charge name is displayed. This is a Tier based charging. The SIM management fee differs for each tier of the enterprise. For example, if 200 customers are provisioned, the monthly SIM Management fee for the first 100 customers, and the next 100 customers are different.

  • SFT – SIM Monthy Minimum fee – When you select Monthly minimum fee category this particular charge will be displayed in Charge name for selection. This fee will is a commitment which is calculated at the time of bill cycle reset.
    Charge calculation = Monthly Minimum Fee amount - ( Monthly total of SIM management fee + Monthly recurring charges + Monthly total of Usage fees data + Monthly total of Usage fees SMS )
    Note: If the delta amount after the calculation is negative, then no Monthly minimum fee is invoiced for a customer.

  • SFT – Feature based SIM management fee – When you select Feature based SIM management fee category this particular charge will be displayed in Charge name for selection. This fee will be charged based on SIM provisioning and networks usage, and on top of the normal SIM management fee.

Value

By default, this field is not displayed. This field is displayed when you select "Monthly Recurring Charge" as Category or "SIM Management" as category with "Threshold based" as Action type or "Normal" or Feature based SIM management as Action type.
Enter the amount to collect for each billing cycle

Threshold

Enter the threshold amount for the charge

Unit price

Enter the unit price to charge after the threshold limit is reached

Renewal

By default, this field is not displayed. This field is displayed when you select "Recurring" as Mode.
Renewal details is auto-populated and cannot be modified

Factor

This field is displayed when you select "Recurring" as Mode.
Enter the Validity for the charge.
Note: If you enter factor as 2 and select month as Validity, for every 2 months once, charges are calculated
Note: If you select Monthly minimum fee charge, factor value should be 1 for rest of the recurring charges.
Note: If you select Feature based SIM management fee charge, factor value should be 1 and filed should be gray out.

Validity

This field is displayed when you select "Recurring" as Mode.
Select the Validity of the charge. For example Month
Note: For feature based sim management fee Validity auto select for Month and gray out.

Action Type

By default, this field is not displayed. This field is displayed when you select "SIM Management" or "Feature based SIM management" as Category.
Select the charging type in the drop-down list. For example,

  • Threshold based

  • Tier based per SIM (see below for more information)

  • Tier based per Range (see below for more information)

  • Normal

Note: For feature based SIM management Action Type default selected and gray out.

Action Type (Activation)

By default, this field is not displayed. This field is displayed when you select "SIM Management" or "Feature based SIM management" as Category and Select the charging type from Action Type.
Select when the SIM Management fee is to be collected from the customer. For example,

  • Immediate – SIM Management fee is collected immediately at the time of provisioning

  • On First usage – SIM Management fee is collected after the first usage of SIM.

Applicable for

By default, this field is not displayed. This field is displayed when you select "SFT-Feature based SIM management fee" as Charge name.

  • NB-IoT access or Data access

Includes

By default, this field is not displayed. This field is displayed when you select "NB-IoT access or Data access" as Applicable for.

  • Networks

Number included

By default, this field is not displayed. This field is displayed when you select "NB-IoT access or Data access" as Applicable for.
Enter the number of networks included for base charge

Default price above number included

By default, this field is not displayed. This field is displayed when you select "NB-IoT access or Data access" as Applicable for.
Enter the value to charge number of networks crossed the number included.

Specific price per network

By default, this field is not displayed. This field is displayed when you select "NB-IoT access or Data access" as Applicable for.

contain one line per network .

  • Filter - country and on selection of a country, operator, and network type selection

  • Search - free text search in all columns

  • Country: Read-only, country of the network,. Default sorting alphabetically on this column.

  • Operator: Read-only, operator of the network,

  • Reference: Read-only, supplier of the network,

  • TADIG: Read-only, TADIG code of the network,

  • Network Types: Read-only, supported network types of the network, same as in destination group view.

  • Specific price above number included: Editable, optional, numeric field allowing decimal value. Enter the specific value for operator to charge when number of networks crossed the number included.

  • Attach/Detach Button: Allowing to attach and detach specific price

  • Pagination - by default per 10, with options 5, 10, 20, 50, 100, 200

Tier based per SIM

  • If you select "Tier based per SIM" as Action type, the following screen is displayed.

  • Enter the End range and Amount in the corresponding field.

  • On select of action type as Tier based per SIM action type (activation) field will appear (by default it will be immediate) select the required activation type.

Note: Start range is auto-populated and cannot be modified.

  • Click Add to add additional slab. Refer to the following screen.

Note: Minimum two slabs are mandatory to create Tier based per SIM charging.

  • After clicking the button, slab 2 details are displayed. Refer to the following screen.

  • Enter the End range and Amount in the corresponding field.

Note: Start range for slab 2 is auto-populated based on the end range of the slab 1 and cannot be modified.

  • Click Add to add additional slabs. Refer to the following screen.

  • Click

to modify the slab details.

  • Click

to delete the slab details.

  • After entering the slab details, click ADD to add the charge to the plan. Refer to the following screen.

Tier based per Range

  • If you select "Tier based per Range" as Action type, the following screen is displayed.

  • Enter the End range and Amount in the corresponding field.

Note: Start range is auto-populated and cannot be modified.

  • Click Add to add additional slab. Refer to the following screen.

Note: Minimum two slabs are mandatory to create Tier based per Range charging.

  • After clicking the button, slab 2 details are displayed. Refer to the following screen.

  • Enter the End range and Amount in the corresponding field.

Note: Start range for slab 2 is auto-populated based on the end range of the slab 1.

  • Click Add to add additional slabs. Refer to the following screen.

  • After entering the slab details, click ADD to add the charge to the plan. Refer to the following screen.

Applicable for

  • If you select "NB-IoT access or Data access" as Applicable for, the following screen is displayed.

Note: Feature-based SIM management fees are charged on top of SIM management fee.

SFT - SIM Management is a Monthly recurring fee that is collected based on the SIM status. It indicates the charges for SIM management activities. This fee is part of the Charges section in a Plan.

  • Charge name “SFT – SIM Management” is shown when SIM Management is selected as Category.

  • This charge can be deducted in four ways based on Immediate and First Usage.

  1. Normal

  2. Tier based per SIM

  3. Tier based per range

  4. Threshold based

 

1] Normal.

  • The amount will be deducted in endpoint creation/first usage based on charge and Frequency configuration.

2] Tier based per SIM.

  • If "Tier based per SIM" is selected as Action type, the following screen is displayed.

  • On select of action type as Tier based per SIM action type (activation) field will appear (by default it will be immediate) select the required activation type.

Enter the End range and Amount can be configured. If the endpoint count match with range, then that amount will be deducted in endpoint creation/first usage time.

  • Note: Start range is auto-populated and cannot be modified.

  • Click Add to add additional slab. Refer to the following screen.

Enter the End range and Amount in the corresponding field.
Note: The start range for slab 2 is auto-populated based on the end range of the slab 1 and cannot be modified.

  • Click Add to add additional slabs. Refer to the following screen.

  • After entering the slab details, click ADD to add the charge to the plan. Refer to the following screen.

3] Tier based per Range.

If you select "Tier based per Range" as Action type, the following screen is displayed.

4] Threshold based.

Up to threshold one time the amount will be deducted. Once endpoint count crossed the threshold, then unit price will be deducted in endpoint creation/first usage based on configuration.
