Notifications

Add Notification to plan

1. Add New Notification to add a Notification. Refer to the following screen.

2. After clicking the button, the following screen is displayed. We can provide this message identifiers in the notification message and this identifiers are not mandatory. As shown in below screenshot.

 3. When click on Notification Message box Explanatory popup for “TO ENDPOINT” is displayed.

 4. Enter or select the following information in the corresponding fields.

Field

Description

Notification Type

Select the Notification type in the drop-down list. Note: You cannot modify Notification type after Notification is created.
Balance notification – Based on the notification configuration, a notification is sent to the endpoint or additional recipients about the balance available in the main account.
Block flag unbarring notification – When the SMS or Data services are unbarred, a notification is sent to the endpoint or additional recipient based on the notification configuration.
Monthly limit reached notification – When the monthly quota for the profile is reached, a notification is sent to the endpoint or additional recipient based on the notification configuration. Note: Monthly limit reached is applicable for Postpaid connection only
Monthly limit/balance update notification – After any update in the Monthly limit or prepaid balance, a notification is sent to the endpoint or additional recipient based on the notification configuration. Note: Monthly limit notification is applicable only for postpaid connection, and Balance update notification is applicable only for prepaid connection.
Service barring notification – When the endpoint bar service, a notification is sent to the endpoint or additional recipient based on the notification configuration.
Service unbarring notification – When the endpoint unbar a service, a notification is sent to the endpoint or additional recipient based on the notification configuration.
Suspension notification – When the endpoint profile is suspended, a notification is sent to the endpoint or additional recipient based on the notification configuration.
Re-Activation notification – When the endpoint re-activates the profile from suspended status, a notification is sent to the endpoint or additional recipient based on the notification configuration.
Zero balance notification – When the balance of the endpoint reaches zero, a notification sent to the endpoint or additional recipient based on the notification configuration. Note: "Zero balance notification" is available only for Prepaid connection.
Data benefit notification - Based on the notification configuration, a notification is sent to the customer or additional recipients about the DATA benefit available in the base plan.
NB-IoT benefit notification - Based on the notification configuration, a notification is sent to the customer or additional recipients about the NB-IOT benefit available in the base plan.
SMS benefit notification - Based on the notification configuration, a notification is sent to the customer or additional recipients about the SMS benefit available in the base plan.
Endpoint and SIM status change notification - Based on the notification configuration, a notification is sent to the customer or additional recipients whenever a SIM Status change or/and an Endpoint status change occurs.
Data counter notification – Based on the notification configuration, a notification is sent to the account or additional recipients about the Data Counter available in the base plan.
NB-IoT counter notification – Based on the notification configuration, a notification is sent to the account or additional recipients about the NB-IOT Counter available in the base plan.

Threshold type

By default, this field is not displayed. This field is displayed when you select "Balance Notification/DATA Benefit/NB-IOT Benefit/SMS Benefit" as Notification type.
Select the Threshold type in the drop-down list. For example
Threshold – Enter any free text value for threshold to receive notification when a particular threshold limit is reached.
Consumption – Select Consumption to receive notification based on the percentage of usage consumption

 

Threshold

By default, this field is not displayed. This field is displayed when you select "Balance Notification/DATA Benefit/NB-IOT Benefit/SMS Benefit/Data Counter Notification/NB-IOT Counter Notification" as Notification type.
If selected Threshold, then enter any free text value for threshold(SMS in count/Data and NB-IOT Benefit,Data and NB-IOT Counter Notification in MB) . For “Counter Notification” notification triggers when the consumption reaches threshold .

 

Or
If selected Consumption, then select the consumption percentage range at which you want to receive the notification

 

Notification Channel

Select the channel through which the notification needs to be sent.
SMS – The notification is sent through SMS for the endpoint or additional recipient based on the notification configuration
Email - The notification is sent through Email for the additional recipient based on the notification configuration
API – The API based notification is sent to the Callback URL configured by the enterprise based on the notification configuration.
When we hover on Setup Callback API, explanatory message will be displayed

 

Note: Email and API is applicable only for Additional recipients.
Note: You cannot modify Notification channel after Notification is created.

 

Notification Message

Enter the notification message to be triggered for this Notification type.
Message supports identifiers like below
{33} - EndPoint Id
{34} - EndPoint Name
{35} - Own Account Id
{36} - Own Account Name

Below notification will display only for “Endpoint and SIM Status Change” notification type

{39} - Endpoint previous Status.
{40} - Endpoint Current Status,
{41} - SIM previous Status.
{42} - SIM Current Status

 When click on Notification Message box below explanatory popup will be displayed.

 For Endpoint and SIM Status Change additional four notifications will display.

Note: Notification Message length for API and Email is 1000 characters and for SMS channel the length is 200 characters.

 

5. Click Attach Message.
6. After clicking the button, the following screen is displayed.

 Click

to modify the attached message.

 Note: You can modify only the Notification message field.

Click

to delete the attached message.

 7. Click Additional Recipients to add recipients with whom you want to share the Notification. Refer to the following screen.

Note: Follow the above-given procedure to configure additional recipients.

Note: It is not mandatory to add additional recipients.

8. Click Submit to attach the Notification to the rate plan. Refer to the following screen.

9. On the Notification screen, click

to edit the Notification details.

10. On the Notification screen, click

to delete the Notification details.
